Sunday ki subah subah ke chhole bhaturo ki keemat tum kya jaano Ramesh Babu!!!
The national food of Delhi, A.K.A Chhole Bhature, is what every delhite loves. Be it a small hawker or a big brand, this mouth watering (bhagwan ka aashirvad) is a blessing in disguise. This combination of big buffy bhature, with chatpate chhole and pyaz chutney (I could have said onions and mint sauce, but #VoFeelNahi), with gajar/hari mirch/achar is a mixture of its own.
With so many options in today’s time, every place has its unique and special chhole bhature. So today, Mr. Polkadot brings you the best bhature that you must try in Delhi and specifically in North-west Delhi.
1. Hari om chhole bhature – Prashant Vihar
This is, by far, Mr. Polkadot’s personal favorite joint. He tried these few years back, and the taste has still been the same, (in spite of the charges getting higher and higher) which is still worth a try. And to compliment it, with a #MeethiLassi, this is a tummy filler.
A plate here would cost you around Rs. 70/- + Lassi Rs. 40/-, and no half plate( anyways you wont be able to resist yourself without having a full plate, so it’s ok).
2. Prem di Hatti – Rajouri Garden/ Netaji Subhash Place
Not to be confused in Rajouri garden, with so many Prem di Hattis, the best one to look out for is the corner shop, at the Rajouri Garden’s red light, right opposite CCD. They have this amazing tasty chhole, which you wont be able to resist. Be it with bhature or Chur chur naan, this combination is quite a savior for your tongue buds. Plus, its pyaz and imli ki chutney is another level.
Usually a plate of chhole bhature here would cost you around Rs. 60/- to Rs. 70/-, as their new branch, which has just opened few weeks back in NSP, is giving out a 10% discount too.
3. Chache di Hatti- Kamla nagar
I think, this one needs no introduction. Every delhite must have eaten from this place or at least hears about them, if they love chhole bhature. For many, they are the pioneer in this field, and being a loyal chhola bhatura fan, some people dont even prefer eating anywhere but Chache di hatti. If you happen to be on the bungalow road, you can ask anyone or if you see a huge line coming out of a small road, then you’ll know its Chache di Hatti. Foodies specially come here to eat or sometimes just buy chhole masala also, to make at home.
They have two varieties of bhature, one is Aloo wale and the other is Sade which are Rs. 55/- and Rs. 50/- respectively.
4. Nagpal’s chhole bhature- Ashok Vihar / Lawrence Road/Shalimar bagh
One of the famous chhole bhature of Ashok Vihar is Nagpal’s. Situated on the main road, in the market, this place owns its recipe like a king. Though it has total 3 outlets, still the taste remains equally good in all three of them. They have many other options than just chhole bhature.
A plate of chhole bhature will cost your around Rs. 70/- here.
5. Sita Ram Diwan Chand – PaharGanj /Pitampura /Paschim Vihar
As Mr. Polkadot is typing, he just realized that all the three outlets are starting with “P” locations. May be thats their lucky charm, and if thats soo, then its working pretty well. This outlet too has made a mark and brand of itself in chhole bhature industry of Delhi. Quite very famous with its taste, they are giving a tough competition to their contemporaries. Though the only glitch which Mr. Polkadot didn’t like was, “tawe par garam karke bhature kaun khaata hai??”
I mean no doubt their chhole are fabulous, but making bhaturas in the morning, and just warming them up on gas and serving kills the feel totally. Still many people love it, thats why it has to be on this list of North-western Delhi’s best chhole bhature you must try.
A plate of bhature here will cost you Rs. 60/- approx.
So these are the most favorite outlets of Mr. Polkadot in North – west Delhi to try some lip-smacking chhole bhature. Do let us know, how many of these have u already tried, and how was your experience. Also, let us know in the comments section about any other famous /not so famous chhole bhature outlet in or near your place that you would like us to try. We would surely bring them up in our next blog.
Do share this with your chhole bhature lovers.
