Mr. Polkadot is Plugged with Unplugged Courtyard

Mr Polkadot is a big fan of Connaught Place and is always keen to explore more and more dining places in the heart of the city. On one such recent occasion Mr Polkadot thought of heading to Unplugged Courtyard as he had heard a lot about the place but somehow missed on visiting it.

It was a rainy afternoon and the weather was perfect to relish some warm food and amazing drinks.
Due to the rains, outer seating area at Unplugged wasn’t fully functional and inside the lounge seating though was very comfortable but that day  AC was on its full action and it became really chilly inside which added to slight discomfort.

Mr Polkadot picked an amazing vodka based drink from their Monsoon Menu along with Paan ke Patte ki Chaat and Mexican Spring Rolls. The drink had a quirky presentation of a vintage-look glass, with crushed ice and Aam Papad on top of it. The Paan ke Patte ki chaat was amazing though some of the leaves were over cooked and too crisp, but overall it surely made for an interesting appetiser and should be given a try. The taste of curd, green chutney and saunth was perfect. (Mano aisa, jaise Dahi-Papdi ka break-up hone ke baad, Paan ke crisp patto ne Dahi ko sahara diya ho 😉 )

Mr Polkadot loved the Mexican Spring Rolls, the stuffing was great, veggies and some cheese too, in fact cheese added a great dimension to the flavours. ( #CheeseBadaThaMastMast )

Later Mr Polkadot ordered some Veg Tacos which didnt go too well with his taste buds. May be because he was trying them for the first time or may be because the corn tortillas tasted a bit stale to him. In future Mr Polkadot would definitely try tacos once again from elsewhere to be more clear on the reason for disliking. ( Taco ki zarurat hai nahi hai jaise, bas ek foodie chahye, isse khatam karne ke liye.)

Gulistan one of the signature cocktails at Unplugged definitely needs to be tried. The presentation was amazing and so was the taste. Specially , usage of liquid nitrogen in that vintage “Lal tain” was super creative. (Just like those movies, where Ramu Kaka shows up in the dark jungle and jiski laltain se Mr. Polkadot ki creativity ko roshni mil gayi)

When the rain stopped Mr Polkadot enjoyed sitting outside for a little while, though it wasn’t fully functional but the weather literally compelled him to enjoy these small pleasures of life. So while he enjoyed his drinks and food inside Mr Polkadot made plans for his outstation trip where he would be going soon and obviously keep you all posted about the developments. ( Pakka Promise- No red cross )
